Hi, I’m Valerie.

I run a dog training business — and I love it — but a few years ago I went looking for something extra. Something that wasn’t tied to clients or somebody else’s schedule, and that let me use a little creativity for once.

At a 4th of July get-together, a relative mentioned she was doing the Amazon Influencer Program. That was all it took. I started working toward getting approved not long after, and Valerie Finds It grew from there.

Since joining the Amazon Influencer Program, I’ve created more than 1,500 product videos across home, pet, kitchen, outdoor, and everyday products — which is really just a long way of saying I’ve tried a lot of things so you don’t have to guess.

Home base is rural South Carolina, where my husband Steve and I keep a genuinely full house — 7 dogs and 2 cats, to be exact. VFI itself isn’t part of the dog training business, but years spent around dogs day in and day out — crates, collars, gear, behavior — means I come to pet products with more than a passing familiarity. Combine that with a house full of animals, and it’s exactly why you’ll find so many pet products reviewed here. Nothing gets past this crew.

Everything on this site is exactly what I think. Sometimes a brand sends me something to try, sometimes I buy it myself — either way, my opinions are my own, and I only recommend what actually earns its keep in a busy house.
