Bully Max 25-11 Lamb Formula: Lean Nutrition Without the Chicken?
Some dogs need a leaner formula, or need to avoid chicken entirely, and a lot of “high protein” foods don’t actually address the fat side of that equation.
If you’re avoiding chicken or want leaner nutrition, this is worth it — 25% protein, 11% fat, built around lean muscle support. The tradeoff is the kibble size runs larger, worth knowing if your dog prefers smaller pieces.
What I Noticed
The brand sent this to me. The “25-11” naming refers to the actual macros — 25% protein, 11% fat — and it’s chicken-free, using lamb instead. The formula includes barley, oats, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, kelp, salmon oil, probiotics, and postbiotics. It’s suitable for puppies and adults, small and large breeds, and the kibble pieces are noticeably larger than average.

Dog Food Questions
Is this good for an active or growing dog?
The lean protein-to-fat ratio and added salmon oil make this a reasonable fit for active dogs, growing puppies, or dogs needing weight management support.
Why chicken-free specifically?
Poultry can be an issue for some dogs, so a chicken-free lamb option gives an alternative protein source for those cases.
What else is worth comparing? Open Farm’s freeze-dried raw beef is another high-protein option, though a different format entirely.
